A long beach that has kept intact its natural and environment, and constitutes the longest stretch of un-urbanized coastline in the northern Adriatic.

The home of one of the largest coastal dune systems in the Veneto region of the pinewood habitat, L’arenile is particularly interesting and unique beach of its kind, and has been recognized as a Site of Community Importance and Special Protection Area of the European Community.

The island of Valle Vecchia is bordered on all four sides by marine waters, lagoons and rivers that create situations of considerable complexity and ecological interest. At the edge of a pine forest there are extensive forests, ponds and marsh reeds – efforts of environmental redevelopment.
